Stephen McNear, MBA

Steve is the Chief Operating Officer at Academy and located in the Lutherville, MD office.  Steve is focused on the day-to-day operations at Academy, how to build the team, delivering excellent client service, and the strategic growth and direction of Academy.  He has over 20 years of financial services, operations, and leadership experience in the greater Baltimore area at firms such as Alex. Brown & Sons, Wachovia Securities, Signal Hill Capital, and most recently Ameriprise Financial.  Steve earned his MBA at University of Maryland College Park after completing his undergraduate work at Boston College.  He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Academy team on how to engage clients, drive a top-notch client experience, development of teammates, and a focus on growth opportunities.  Steve keeps active by playing in a soccer league and traveling.
